Today, the alarm went off at 2:45am... Ugh!
I had to be at RDU airport checking in by 4:30am for my flight to Newark and then on to Shanghai!!
It was mostly raining at home when I left, but mostly snow as I drove to the airport. Thankfully, temps above freezing!
I'm heading to Shanghai with EF Tours for the teacher training tour. It's a quick trip to China this trip - only 3 days there. Flight to Newark is 1.5 hrs, 2.5 hr layover then a 15 hour flight to shanghai. I've never been on a plane for that long!! We fly up through Canada and Alaska then down to China. I imagine we r going to be waaaayyyy up high.
Shanghai is 13 hours ahead of Oxford NC. It's going to be difficult to talk to family at home! Plus, with the time difference, I have to sleep on the plane. I arrive there Fri afternoon and we start training right away.
I will not have cell service, but should have wifi at hotel. Therefore, the plan is to skype or facetime with everyone at home. From what I hear, Facebook is blocked there, so I won't be able to communicate that way either :(
I was barely able to sleep last night because I'm so excited! I am soooo looking forward to trying all new things.
